End of the beginning...

Dear All, 

with a last day of work, and  all packed up

a new adventure begins

thanks to everyone that has been a fan or part of dorybeach even in the slightest

always remember that dorybeach is a state of mind and an attitude

more so than a geographical place

thanks for the beginning and the barrels atlantic its been great having  a life revolve around you!

so keep it rad, stay at the beach, and get one for us

en route for a new life  in california, this half of dorybeach wants to thank everyone for being  the person that they are

and thanks for being a great friend or family

lord knows we have the best

No much usually on nostalgia for time past

we here @ Dorybeach of course recognize the importance of knowing our history

Reading "Salts and Suits" by Phil Jarratt

we've been constantly impressed with the wizardy, coy, and prowess of 

Mr. Jeff Hakman

The guy  had the world wrapped around his finger

went from nothing to everything, and ripped the shit out of every damn wave that came his way

(worldwide...before people did that sort of thing).

Do yourself a favor, and on this cruisy Sunday take a second and read up, or watch up 

on one of the most interesting men our world has ever known (Ward/Hakman interview...now THERE we go)

Bittersweet

either the beach has been made smaller, or the people throwing away trash have?

early november. 

it snowed right over the water all night last night

frigid breath and frosty spray coming out of the icy tubes

(their out there)

seems like its been  bittersweet couple of days

as we've been batted by waves along with some other stuff and our buddies up north are bracing for more of the same :(

have you stopped to think.

be careful what you wish for.  

what if this sleepy empty beach town over-run only with the hollow beachbreaks became a mecca?

what if? not known for consistency, but our eastern shore got know for massive kegs on occasion, 

it would be a migration. 

worth gawking. harry with a wave check before everyone gets on it

what if people wrote and raved about the wave at the end of your street! 

we all do it al the time to someone elses!

a lot is changing, new boards, new technologes and approaches, weather patterns and habits

and hey.....who knows

Ocean City, MD,.... the  new....well...we'll just have to see

maybe dreaming, maybe having a nightmare. Just thinking. 

what if this happens all the time now...

just like it has been :)

and at what cost.
