Dear everyone,
Everyone watched it. Everyone ohh-ed and ahh-ed as Cloudbreak woke up last week and we got to see some of the best waves ever roll through the lens' of the Volcom Fiji Pro.
Best Waves. Best Surfers. That is the ASP's slogan. The dream tour. And that big wednesday was assuredly a dream day.
But they didnt run the contest. Was it because of risk of injury? Devil Winds early in the day's window? Lack of proper equipment? In a way, we will never know, but we here at dorybeach are curious to hear what you think about the call to not go.
Healey calls it a different sport. Koby calls it a bitch move.
What would you have done. Go or no go? But remember, surfing will take care of surfing, and seeing the limits getting pushed and every wave being packed deeper than ever thought possible... isn't that better for surfing as whole that "successfully" running any contest?
What do you think?
Thanks to Volcom and Fiji both for letting us all share.
Long live Dave Wassel
